Guided Wildlife Walks August and September

Sunday 10th August 2pm to 5 pm. Rhoscolyn and Silver Bay
Beautiful beaches, woodland and rocky coast – this is a gentle circular walk of about three and a half miles. Lots of different wild-flowers and birds to discover including the rare chough. Time for a snack or picnic at the hidden beach of Silver Bay. A great walk for the summer and very popular at the Anglesey Walking Festival this year.

From £15 per person (special price for families available on request).

Sunday 17th August 10.30 am – 12.30 pm.
Coastal Safari Walk – 10:30am, Rhoscolyn.

Discover the wildlife of this stunning coastline with heathland birds, sea birds, chough and seal to look for. Also learn about the many wild flowers growing along this unspoilt coast. This event is forming part of Anglesey Marine Week and costs £10 adults/ £5 children (20% of proceeds will go to the Marine Conservation Society) . http://naturebites.co.uk/anglesey-marine-week/

Saturday 6th September 2pm – 5 pm.
North Stack sea watch and wildlife walk.

This is a stunning coastline with amazing views across the sea to the Skerries, Ireland and the Isle of Man. North Stack is quiet and rugged and a great place to watch for seals, dolphins and porpoises. The rare chough, offshore gannets and other seabirds are commonly seen on this walk and the heathland will still be in flower, giving a blaze of colour.
Cafe, parking and wildlife information available at Breakwater Country Park where the walk starts and finishes.
From £15 per person.

Saturday 27th September 2 – 5 pm.
Heathland and Seals Walk on the Range.

One of my favourite walks on this very unspoilt and beautiful stretch of coast. A great place to see the rare chough and birds on migration. Also there is a hidden spot where you are likely to be able to watch seals, maybe even see a seal pup as they give birth at this time of the year. This is a gentle walk of a mile.
From £10 per person.
