Winter Wildlife Walk – Coast to Coast. (Sunday 20th January at 10 am)

Join this wonderful wildlife walk, which starts above Holyhead marina and encompasses the coast to north stack (as seen on countryfile), the fantastic top of Holyhead mountain and South Stack. We can stop for coffee at the RSPB cafe at South Stack, or you can bring your own refreshments. Then we walk along hidden paths at the back of the mountain to return to the marina.

Clear winter light can offer stunning views across to Snowdonia, the Isle of Man and Ireland. Possible wildlife includes resident chough, raven and peregrine. We may also get early sightings of guillemot and razorbill if the weather is calm, as from New Year they start to come in to claim the best nest sites. Winter sightings of porpoise, dolphina and seal are also possible.

The walk is about 6 miles long and will finish ao 4pm . The terrain is often steep and rocky so you need to be happy with this and wear good boots and weatherproof clothing. It is a fabulous walk and the charge for the day is £30.
